ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app Travel Revisited takes viewers back to some of the favorite destinations from past ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app Travel Programs. In this second installment, Robert O'Byrne - otherwise known as - presents a tour of Townley Hall in County Louth, Ireland.
Townley Hall was built in the early 1790s by a fascinating trio: the heir of the estate, Blayney Townley Balfour III; his sister, Anna Maria Townley Balfour; and the great Irish architect, Francis Johnston. Taking design cues from contemporaries like James Wyatt, and of course from ancient sources such as the Pantheon, Johnston and his discerning clients created an enduring example of restrained elegance that remains one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in Ireland.
Townley Hall is just one of many locations to be featured in the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app's Travel Programs. Click here to learn more about the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app's upcoming travel tours, booking now for destinations around the world.
