In the previous episode of In Your Neighborhood, architect Patrick Ahearn, FAIA, introduced viewers to Commonwealth Avenue, which forms the backbone of the historic Boston neighborhood of Back Bay, and connects the Boston Common and Public Garden to the rest of the "Emerald Necklace" network of public spaces. In Part II, Patrick explains how the area's architectural character influenced his design choices as he redeveloped and built properties in Back Bay, starting in 1975 and eventually going on to complete 400 projects in the neighborhood.
