ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app president Peter Lyden hosts a conversation with Lani Summerville, Lisa Fine, and Kathryn Herman on how the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app's Travel Programs inspire and educate designers, architects, artists, and enthusiasts.
Lani Summerville is owner and director of , which specializes in architectural tours that celebrate traditional design. Ms. Summerville has organized, escorted and guided specialty architectural tours for 20 years, working with Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation, The National Trust for Scotland, Olana Foundation and The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app. She has also worked within the preservation field as both a museum educator, and an archaeologist for such organizations as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, The Berkshire County Historical Society, and various other historic house museums.
Textile guru Lisa Fine is the founder of , which specializes in hand printed linens originally inspired by India's colors, patterns, Mughal palaces, and gardens. Since then Fine’s far reaching travels have continued to influence her collection, where exotic and traditional prints in vibrant and romantic colors feel both worldly and timeless. Her work has appeared in countless publications, and prior to designing textiles, she worked as a contributing editor for Elle Decor and House Beautiful. She is currently a contributing editor for Town & Country. Her book, Near & Far: Interiors I Love, was published in October 2019 by Vendome.
Kathryn Herman is an ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app Board Member and the founding principal of her landscape design firm, . The firm's work in landscape architecture and residential design has received multiple Arthur Ross Awards, Stanford White Awards, and Palladio Awards, and has been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, and Gardens Illustrated.
