7 credits towards the Certificate in Classical Architecture (Corinthian Order) | 7 AIA CES Learning Units|Elective
This practical hands-on drawing course covers the fifth subject in the Elements of Classical Architecture sequence—the nomenclature, grammar, and proportional relationships of the canonical Corinthian order. The course introduces the order through freehand drawing of a Corinthian column and entablature. Instruction is live and on-line. This introduction forms part of a foundation for understanding all of the classical orders from the practitioner鈥檚 perspective and lays the groundwork for exploring their use in an architectural composition.Registration for this event includes both Part I and Part II. This program will be held virtually via Zoom. Participants will receive a link to the program the week prior to the event. Due to the hands-on nature of the course, registration is limited.
Please note that in order to enroll in the class, participants must have completed the 蜜桃传媒app's Introduction to Classical Mouldings and Introduction to the Tuscan Order courses (or have equivalent experience), and be able to sketch and draft in pencil.
Please note that participants are required to bring drawing materials to participate in the program. Participants will be asked to scan or photograph their work and send it to the instructors during the course.
